My name is Ms. Danielle. I was born and raised in St. Albert, Alberta and have lived here the majority of my life. I went to the University of Alberta, Augustana campus in Camrose to receive my Bachelor of Music degree and am also almost at the end of my Education Degree at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. My greatest passion in life is teaching general education and music. When I was a student, I struggled in certain subjects due to the one or two ways taught to solve the problem. My brain did not always process like everyone else's and I needed a different approach. This is what I strive to do for my students.

My Story
I have always been a go-getter. A bubbly, people-person. When I was in elementary school I loved helping students in my class and within the school with their work. I helped out students who had disabilities in younger grades by watching them on the playground or just being a friend. But, I was also known as one of the music kids because I did all of the music activities the school had.
Fast-forward to grade 12, late September 2015 I was on a service trip and ended up getting a severe concussion. This completely rocked my world. I was diagnosed with many health problems after the fact, even years later. I was no longer myself, considered disabled in the eyes of many, and suddenly struggled severely in grade 12 and into university. I no longer had anything that brought me joy because everything I tried to do was a battle, internally and/or externally. This brings us to 2021 when I taught my first ever piano student. I realized after my first lesson, that this is what I wanted to do. I wanted to teach.

I finished my Bachelor of Music Degree in 2022, received my level 1 child care certificate, my English Language Learning Teaching certificate as well as entered into my Bachelor of Education Degree. Don't get me wrong, there was a lot of hard days due to my, now known, disabilities due to advocating for myself (and in the long run-,others) to get the education we deserve and fighting with my health.
All of this to say, I created Allegro Mobile Music and Tutoring to show students that there are teachers out there that adapt and change their ways for them. That they are valued and needed in this world and that they are worth the energy put into them.
I finished my Bachelor of Music Degree in 2022, received my level 1 child care certificate, my English Language Learning Teaching certificate as well as entered into my Bachelor of Education Degree.
